Personal Interests : Literature, science, cinema, visual arts, martial arts, listening to my comrades’ “bad jokes” and a long-long list of apparently incompatible items…
Dislikes : Violence, inequality, selfishness, unethical behavior, life's ephemerality, and the spotlight.
Ultimate Goal : To make the world a better place for future generations.
Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at SDSU and a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley. Certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC).
Over 10 years of experience providing counseling and support services to diverse populations in non-profit and academic settings. I strongly believe in the ability of the human being to overcome barriers. This belief is partially responsible for my interest in sociopolitical/educational research, individuals with disabilities, first-generation and underrepresented students. My counseling focus is to provide the tools to help individuals become self-sufficient and life-long learners.
